Hi everyone! I just realized I have taken an extremely long break from writing this blog and so I am determined to rededicate myself to you all. Since it's been so long I thought I'd catch you up with what I'm up to these days.
I recently started painting and will have my first art gallery showing on February 11th at the Liberty Art Gallery in Long Beach. I'm really excited and kind of nervous. :)
Hi everyone! I'm working on a few projects that will be debuting in the next few weeks but in the meantime my brain has been crazy busy and on my down time I have random thoughts so I wanted to share them with you.
Here we go!
Random Thoughts:
I love TLC's Say Yes to the Dress. When I got married I wore a red dress and I wish I bought myself a white one instead so I live vicariously through that show.
I think shelled nuts take too much effort to eat.
Movies make me happy.
I need to find a new company to volunteer with. I stopped feeding the homeless after the two stabbing incidents. Luckily no one was seriously hurt.
I'm obsessed with my nephew Soren. I wish I lived closer to him.
I drink coffee morning, noon and night.
I wish my dog Franny would stop peeing in her sleep.
I'm out of butter. Actually, it's not "really butter" it's Smart Balance Light.
Wigs make me happy. I need to find a way to wear more wigs in daily life. (Non-ironically.)
I need to get up and fold some socks but I'm too tired to move.
CNN posted a fun articles listing 13 films with the "Best-Worst Film Titles of All Time." Their list includes The Beaver, Dude, Where's My Car?, To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar. (That movie title is AWESOME!)
Here is my list of the 13 Best-Worst Film Titles of All Time.
1. Black Snake Moan 2. Titanic 2 (actually the title isn't the problem, it's the entire film) 3. The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood 4. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 5. Shaft Goes to Africa 6. Dr. T. and the Women 7. From Justin to Kelly 8. Dumb and Dumber 9. Blackula 10. Weiners (Seriously?) 11. Half Past Dead 2 (What? That doesn't even make sense!) 12. Stop! Or my Mom will Shoot! 13. Who is Harry Kellerman and why is he saying those terrible things about me?
What's on your list for the "best-worst movie titles"?
Hi guys- For the last few months I have been mentioning my new series McMANUSLAND which is premiering tomorrow (Wednesday, March 30th) on Tellofilms.com. For those of you have no idea what McMANUSLAND it is a four-part mockumentary series about my misadventures in Hollywood and the ride I take my family on.
McMANUSLAND stars my wife Karman Kregloe, Trish Bendix, Fortune Feimster (Chelsea Lately, Last Comic Standing), Kiva Jump, Elizabeth Mihelich and my children Taffy Davenport and Shelby Kregloe. Oh, and me!
Tomorrow Episode 1 of McMANUSLAND entitled: "I AM OPRAH" will be posted and new episodes will be posted every Wednesday (HUMP DAY!) on Tellofilms. Viewers can watch McMANUSLAND for $3.99 per month. The $3.99 subscription price also includes episodes of CowGirl Up, 3 Way, Brunch With Bridget and Real Girl's Guide to Everything Else. All for just $3.99!
McMANUSLAND has been a labor of love and I really hope you all check it out.
Here is an in depth synopsis of McMANUSLAND:
Comic actress Bridget McManus (that's me!) wants to be bigger than Oprah -- not in circumference, but in star power. Her only claim to “fame” is her variety show, “The Bridget McManus Half-Hour Comedy Hour,” on the low-rent gay TV network ICON. Unfortunately, that show has just been canceled.
Now she’s watching from the sidelines as her peers book big movies and become series regulars on successful television shows. They work, while Bridget sits at home making lists of the famous people she most resembles and watches Judge Judy reruns. Bridget doesn’t really look like Megan Fox, but why should that stop her from having Fox’s career?
Her level-headed wife, Karman, tries to be supportive and even offers some practical suggestions to get Bridget back on track, but Bridget has her own (slightly delusional) ideas about how to play the fame game. From identity theft and breaking and entering to creating her own action series, she’ll do anything to get back in the spotlight, and no friend, manager, or security guard is going to stop her.

For the last few months I've been working with Tellofilms.com on a new original webseries called "MCMANUSLAND." It's my version of Curb your Enthusiasm starring my wife (Karman Kregloe), my dog (Taffy), my cat (Shelby), me and a bunch of my terrific comedian friends. The series will be launching soon and will only be available to view and download at Tellofilms.com.
Tellofilms, if you don't already know, is a Chicago-based video distribution company for films made for/by/or about lesbians.
Tellofilms is a free website but they recently launched a new section called Tello Premium Content in which you can access their library of high quality lesbain content for a subscription fee of only $3.99 a month. That means you can watch all their content for only $3.99/month You can also download only the videos you want for a smaller fee, although the monthly free is a much better deal. The more subscriptions Tello receives the more original series Tello can fund. So if you like watching series starring women, about women (specifically about bisexual and lesbian women) please purchase a subscription to Tello.
Currently on Tellofilms you view and download episodes of BRUNCH WITH BRIDGET, 3 WAY, NIKI and NORA, REAL GIRLS GUIDE TO EVERYTHING ELSE and COWGIRL UP (another series I'm in starring Mandy Musgrave and Marnie Alton.)
MCMANUSLAND will be premiering shortly and has amazing guest stars like Fortune Feimster (Chelsea Lately) Erin Foley (Comedy Central) and more!
So please do yourself and the bi/lesbian community a favor and support LGBT artists. If you don't see enough representation on television and in movies then at least you can view all the bi/lesbians you want at Tello.
