FOX has done it again.

Last night FOX rolled out their newest reality show, MORE TO LOVE.

Here's FOX's summary: "MORE TO LOVE is the new dating competition show. The show follows one regular guy's search for love among a group of real women determined to prove that love comes in all shapes and sizes. The inspirational new series is hosted by iconic supermodel Emme."

The show's sentiment is great but the execution is ridiculous. Every other sound byte is someone saying how they love to eat, describing what they love to eat, talking about how people treat them badly because they are heavy, how they hope this strange man loves them even though they are heavy, how men can't see past their weight to truly love them, etc.

People absolutely should NOT be judged on their shape, size or looks because what's on the inside is what truly matters. I have spent many years of my life as a larger person; at the age of 13 I was wearing my father's size 38 pants. Whenever I was heavier, people did change their attitudes towards me and my dating life was most definitely affected as well.

My issue with this show is that it preys on desperate woman (more so than most reality dating shows). These sad young girls (some are only 21) are crying over the fact that they are consistently treated badly, ignored by men or never been on a date before. I have a feeling that the amount of tears that these poor girls shed on the premiere episode exceeds any episode in the history of reality tv.

These women don't need a boyfriend, they need therapy to help them gain some self-esteem. Being bigger isn't a bad thing as long as you're healthy and happy.

And don't forget, if you can't get a boyfriend to treat you well, lesbianism is always an option.

Where's my gift?

Is it just me or as the older we get the less our family and friends feel inclined to dote on us for our birthdays? I wrote a blog for Ourscenetv venting my frustrating about the decline of cards and gifts we receive as we age.

How will you know that you are loved if you don't get materialistic presents on a regular basis? And if you're too poor to go shopping you can always give birthday spankings for free!

I HEART HARRY POTTER

I'm a dork when it comes to the Harry Potter movies. Actually, I'm a dork when it comes to a lot of things like playing Clue, my joy of folding socks and Star Wars. Yes, I roll with the Wookiees!

Due to my massive love of Mr. Potter and his gang of teen wizards I wrote a gushing blog for ourscenetv.com:

Dreams...

Last night I had a dream that I was still in high school and being bullied by James Spader as Steff in the Molly Ringwald classic, Pretty in Pink. Man, Steff was a bastard! After careful analysis I have figured out that my dream means I should have thai food for dinner tonight.

Here's how I came to that conclusion: Steff was a bratty rich guy who always got what he wanted and what I want is thai food. Another mystery solved...

Brunch with Jamie Babbit & daughter Ryder

This week I'm in bed with the director of But I'm A Cheerleader and Itty Bitty Titty Committee, Jamie Babbit (and Jamie's adorable daughter Ryder). Jamie talks about her new project with Guinevere Turner, breaking into the entertainment industry, and why lesbian films matter. Ryder fights to the death in one of the most epic pillow fight to date...

What's WRONG with People? Part 2

It's not secret that I'm not a big fan of children. I don't hate them I just don't want them for myself because raising a child is, I believe, is the biggest responsibility in the entire world! People shouldn't take having children lightly and when they do I want to punch them in the face.

Sadly, there was another story on cnn.com today about a woman who "didn't know she was pregnant" (really?) and suddenly gave birth into a toilet. The woman then left the newborn in the waste tank covered in a blue antibacterial chemical agent. The baby is in stable condition but I'm sure it will be traumatize for life knowing it was literally thrown away upon arrival into this world. The woman has been charged but she might be too stupid to know that's a bad thing.

Dear straight people-

Please don't have sex and have babies if you don't really want them. And if you're too stupid to know you're pregnant then you should kill yourself because there is no use for you in society.

Love,
Bridget

p.s. I don't usually pray but I will pray for that baby....and a black porsche.

Happy Birthday Johnny Weir!

Today my favorite figure skater, Johnny Weir, is celebrating his 25 birthday! Weir is the gayest man in the world but I don't believe he's ever publicly come-out and announced his sexually (not that he has to).

I don't believe in outting closeted people, especially celebrities, because if they're not proud of being gay then I don't want the kids that look up to them to feel the same way. But since I heart Weir so much I really really want him to be gay- even if it's just for me. And then we will become bestest friends and then we'll pair skating at the Pride 2010. A girl can dream...

Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to Johnny I'm pretty-sure you're a homo Weir!
Happy birthday to you!

DANCE YOUR ASS OFF

I'm watching Oxygen's new show DANCE YOUR ASS OFF. The premise of the show is overweight contestants loss weight while dancing their asses off. Not literally, all asses stay in tact.

At the end of tonight's show two contestants started to cry and I said out-loud, "I love when people cry." What's wrong with me?

-Maybe I'm happy these people are having an emotional experience that just happens to be captioned on television.

-Or maybe I'm happy that I'n not the only one who cries.

-Or maybe it's funny to watch people suffer.

I really hope it's not the latter because that means I'm an asshole.

p.s. I'm not an asshole...am I?

p.p.s. Don't answer the above question.
