Terrific Performances

Today I finally watched the original Lolita from 1962. I've always wanted to see this movie but never got around to it. Lolita stars the legendary James Mason and Shelley Winters but it's Lolita herself, Sue Lyon, that takes this film to a whole new level. Sue Lyon's performance is effortless and perfection. She acted circles around everyone else she shared the screen with. If you haven't seen this film then do yourself a favor and rent it. Sue Lyon took my breath away.

Oooh! yes defiantly Leo in Gilbert Grape.

I loved Kenneth Branagh as Gilderoy Lockhart in Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets.
