dude, where's my car?

I spent yesterday on the SONY lot recording voices for the upcoming Tim Burton produced animated feature 9 starring Elijah Wood, Jennifer Connelly and Martin Landau. I adore Martin Landau and he wouldn't let my hand go as he insisted that I become as successful as possible, but he advised me it would be difficult like it was for his friend Phyllis Diller.

Anyway, at the end of the day I went to the parking structure to head home and I could find my car. No seriously for over and hour I walked up and down 6 levels, left the parking structure to search another parking structure, returned to the original parking structure with no success.

I eventually went down to security and had a guy in a golf cart give me a tour of all the parking structures on the lot in search of my jeep. I must say Sony has very well kept parking structures.

In the end my car was found and I felt like a douchebag. Just another day at the office.

don't worry. you're not the only one. I was standing on a small parking lot right in front of my car - not seeing it because I thought I had taken the other car. I even rang up a friend to take me home because my car had obviously been stolen. Imagine my face when I arrived at home looking at the car...parking lots are evil!

I have always loved Martin Landau. I just had a conversation about him with my mom the other day while watching Sarah Jessica Parker on "Inside The Actors Studio" and seeing a clip of Ed Wood. I liked him since watching he and his ex-wife Barbara Bain on the original tv version of Mission Impossible (I think they werereruns) when I was a kid. And then of course, he's in the cast of one of my favorite films of all-time..."North by Northwest". How lucky are you to meet him! And Phyllis Diller always had a great shtick with her husband "Fang"...you just need to create the quintessential girlfriend and you will be golden. ;)

Oh Bridget...pyewacket's idea about the quintessential girlfriend is a great idea. One of her amazing qualities will be to remember all those things you don't. I was going to suggest that you make a note in a PDA (personal digital assistant...not kissing in public) where you park your car (as well as other information you need to remember), but then it occurred to me that you'd probably lose the PDA since it's way smaller than a JEEP!!! Just saying...it's harder to misplace a girlfriend...though, you probably could do that too...sigh.
