I hate that there are so many words in germany now, which are a mixture between english and german (we call it denglish). I mean come on, isn't it enough that because of the immagrants, that don't really wanted to integrate themselves our youth just fucks up their own language ?

and at least:
- the hole french language ... sorry, I can't stand the sound of it, it makes me wanna puke

Hubby-especially cuz 9 out of 10 times you were at the wedding so you know his actual name

Addicting-the word you're looking for is "ADDICTIVE"

Magenta-This one I can't explain, I've just always hated the word...I would actually snap the crayon in half and throw it away.

Sabriel,
Wow, weird. Haven't thought about it in ages. Growing up in Wisconsin when my Dad was trying to get me up on Sunday mornings for church, he would say "allyup". My Mom got us up during the week, but on the weekends when we were particularly obstinent my Dad would chime in with "allyup".

-moist
-any invented word by Rachel Ray (sammy for sandwich, yummo, etc.)
-panties
-yaknow...no, I don't know that's why I asked you

Alice said...

Agree! Unnecessary words by Rachel Ray: stoup, smashed potatoes...

"Let's take a listen" suddenly popular on CNN,

OK.. so these are phrases, but they drive me nuts

-Rural. No one can sound smart saying that word.
-Mnemonic. same as above. and... it's just a bitch to spell.
-Schumacher....okay I love that name. You can't... not have fun saying it.
-Audi.
-Any word that you have to add "more" instead of "er". ex. FUN. WORSE.
-THEN & THAN. Nobody can use them correctly.
-BREATH & BREATHE. Nobody can use them correctly.
-Flogging Molly. I can't say that and not get made fun of for saying it awkwardly/with an accent (supposedly).
-Hoodlums.
-Any word I cannot spell on the first go.
-"Definately"

It's hard to think on the spot, and it's more of a "in the moment" type "when someone uses the word" type moment thing. I could really... keep going on...and on. I'm not sure there are words I do like. But I think any word I would not hate if someone with an Australian accent said them.

you know, i'm fine with the words

"moist,"

"succulent,"

and

"panties,"

but now that i've heard them uttered together...it sets me in a sort of...malaise.

...not entirely unlike the feeling i get when i see / hear / think of Carlos Mencia.

And purple.
I really hate the word purple.
Best word ever?
Fluff.

Sabriel said...

roguebabe7 thats really weird, i've never heard of anyone else using that word! I'm not even sure my mum knows what she means by it...

Nelfy said...

oida - it's austria dialekt for "old man" and mainly used by young "hip" people, my translation would be "dude", they just use it way too much and for boys and girls even though it clearly describes a male person.

dude - used way too often as well, sometimes it's appropriate/funny, but mostly it's not.

girrrrl - see above.
