The best smells

I am fascinated by sense memories.

Here are some terrific smells that make me smile:

Dust
Whenever I smell dust I think of my grandmother's basement a place I loved to explore.

Turkey
Even though I don't eat meat I still love the smell of a turkey baking in the oven. It reminds me of family holidays.

Bacon
Bacon makes me think of my parent's honeymoon. My parents took my sister and I skiing in Vermont for their honeymoon. The ski lodge smelled like bacon every time you walked thru the lobby.

Fudge
My mother use to make homemade fudge. Yum yum.

Old Spice
My younger brother wears old spice deodorant and I love my brother.

Too many times I've dreamt that I was waking up to the smell of fresh coffee brewing. Then I really woke up, and there was nothin'. But that smell!
Call me crazy, but I find the smell of sauteing onions soooo sexy.

Ok-the dust picture? Gross! The best smell...chicken and dumpling stew. Fills the house with the smell of cloves and pepper and chives. It just smells like home.

Cilantro. It's the freshest smell on earth.

Also, my horse. Not so fresh, but I love it.
