My Favorite Band performs this FRIDAY!

This Friday my favorite band, Sick of Sarah, will be performing at the Roxy in Los Angeles along with Killola. I'll be there with my posse and I'd love if you joined us.

If you're not familiar with the SOS girls, they are an all-girl band based in Minneapolis and have been kind enough to loan their music for my two television shows. They also perform the theme song for the Is This Awesome? vlog.

SOS just debuted their own tour diary on afterellen.com so we at home can follow along on their rockstar adventures.

These girls are crazy talented and super fucking nice. You rarely find that combination so I greatly encourage you to check them out before their ticket prices fly through the roof, they are sold out and these girls take over the world.

And although I rarely drink I think I'll be making an exception for this event. :)

SHOW INFO:
Friday, April 23, 9:00pm – 11:30pm
The Roxy, 9009 West Sunset
W Hollywood, CA 90069

Hot Tub Time Machine

I've had a stressful week and to make myself relax I decided to watch some movie trailers. Some upcoming movies look good, some not so good and then watched the trailer for... HOT TUB TIME MACHINE!

The only thing I can say about this soon to be award winning film is "why didn't I think of it???"

HOT TUB + TIME MACHINE = Academy Award Winner for Best use of a heated water device in a film.

Watch and enjoy:

Dolls on ice

Like many people all over the world tonight I watched the Men's Olympic figure skating free skate. Although, Johnny Weir came in sixth place he gave the best performance by far.

Commentator Scott Hamilton said tonight's star performances came from Evan lysacek, who won the gold, Yevgeny Plyushchenko who took the silver and my bff Johnny.

Here are the three "star performers" if they were dolls instead of humans.

Johnny Weir is a Bratz doll

Evan Lysacek is a Derek doll

Christmas in Los Angeles

I grew up in the wintery wonderland of Connecticut. Now that I live in Los Angeles the holidays are very very different.

I wrote a blog for Ourscene about the Southern California's attempt to celebrate Christmas. This blog stars Hunky Santa and his Candy Cane pool dancers.

Check it out and let me know what you think:
WTF: Xmas in LA.

I HEART SICK OF SARAH

Last night I attended the ROXY's girlfest of powerhouse bands starring Sick of Sarah and Von Iva.

Both bands fucking rocked it and made me proud to sport a vagina. If you don't already own their albums (or a vagina) BUY THEM.

Support indie music and female bands.

If you didn't attend the concert you missed the AMAZING Abisha (SOS) spitting water like a porpoise and Lay Lay (VON IVA) smashing the drums until her stick shattered. Lay Lay is the new Animal.

(ok this is a dolphin but you get the idea)

LENA HEADEY stars in GHOSTELLA

It's finally here! The season finale of Ghostella's Haunted Tomb starring the incomparable Lena Headey.

The "terrifying" episode is called TOP FRIENDS and Lena's character proves she will do anything to be the only one left standing.

ENJOY!

p.s. Give some love to the director, Stacie "Final Girl" Rockstar Ponder, because she totally KICKED ASS in making this film!

I look gay

This morning I put on a pair of track shorts, an old teeshirt, threw my hair in a messy pony tail and went for a walk. After I was finished I stopped at Starbucks for a grande unsweetened ice coffee (my favorite) and started walking home. I crossed the street and a beautiful african american woman in a suit came up to me and said, "Do you know where there is a Coffee Bean store?"

I responded, "Well, there is a Starbucks right behind us." And shook my cup in the air indicating that's where I purchased my amazing beverage only moment ago.

She said, "Thanks! The reason I stopped you was because I knew you would know since you're gay. And I'm gay too by the way. See you later."

umm...what? She knew I was gay? Did she know I was gay because of my appearance or because I was rockin the Starbucks which is AWESOME and gay people are AWESOME. Basic math would say that AWESOME + AWESOME = Super AWESOME!

I'm still confused by my street meeting but the moral of the story is: I look gay and I'm proud of that.
